FOCUS: Get Hexipuffing and Enter Our Charity Competition to WIN a finished Beekeepers Quilt
The Beekeepers Quilt knitting pattern by Tiny Owl Knits has been taking the knitting world by storm and it's not hard to see why! Made up of lots of squishy, cute little knitted hexagons, or "hexipuffs" as those in the know like to refer to them, the beekeepers quilt is a fabulous project that is perfect for beginners all the way through to seasoned knitters. Each hexipuff is a satisfying mini-project in its own right and the finished quilt is surely an heirloom of the future!

What's the Beekeepers Quilt got to do with raising money for charity?
UK Handmade celebrates its 3rd Birthday this winter and to mark the milestone we wanted to do something to give back to the community.
We decided that we wanted to help kids in particular especially given the riots here in the UK because the children ARE our future! The UK Handmade team, like many of you, were glued to the news during that terrible time and felt really depressed and sad that so many young people had so little to lose that they were running the streets. We all felt helpless to do much to change the situation because the underlying issues are so very immense and incredibly hard to tackle but we realised there ARE things we can do by supporting amazing charities like NACRO (the crime reduction charity) which helps vulnerable young people via early intervention and engagement in learning so that they DON'T end up with a life of crime.
“We help to steer over 24,000 children and young people away from drugs and crime, finding new and positive future opportunities.”.
